High Protein Double Chocolate Air Fryer Bagels
These gluten-free high protein air fryer bagels will be your next go to breakfast! They are soft, chocolatey, and super easy to make. I do make my own gluten-free self rising flour in a big batch to have it for recipes like these. The ingredients for that are in the recipe card. You can also play around with adding more or less protein powder. It all depends on how much protein you want to taste in these bagels. I am using plant-based chocolate protein powder here. Make these, you will love them too!

Insanely soft and chocolatey gf bagels made right in your air fryer. These have a whopping 15g of protein and only 6g of carbs per bagel.
Ingredients
- 1 cup non-fat Greek yogurt
- 1/2 cup self rising flour
- 1/4 cup plus 2 tb chocolate protein powder
- 2 tb cocoa powder
- 1/3 cup mini chocolate chips
- Avocado oil spray
Self Rising Flour
- 1 cup gluten-free all purpose flour
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
Instructions
- To a bowl, add a fine mesh strainer, to that add the flour, protein powder, and cocoa powder. If you are not using self rising flour, you need to make sure to add 1 1/2 tsp baking powder and a 1/4 tsp of salt into the dry mixture.
- Add the greek yogurt. Mix the batter until crumbly.
- Then transfer dough onto a floured surface, wet your hand a little and start to work the dough until flour and greek yogurt are all combined and you are able to make a smooth ball shape.
- It is important to know that the dough will be very sticky at first. Water on hands helps and make sure to flour the surface and the dough as needed.
- Form a ball shape, slightly flatten it and mini chocolate chips. Then, fold it again a few time to spread the chocolate chips out.
- Make a smooth ball again and separate it into flour equal pieces. Roll each section of dough into a ball, then flatten it, make an open circle in the middle and form it into a bagel shape as best as you can. They don’t have to be perfect!
- Preheat air fryer to 350F for at least 5 minutes.
- Do not overcrowd the pan. Leave room between each bagel because they do get larger.
- Spray some avocado oil on top of each bagel and air fryer at 350F for 8 minutes, they will be crunchy on top.
- Once cooked, rest them for a few minutes, then slice horizontally and enjoy with cream cheese, jam, or your favorite spread.
