Ingredients
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup plain yogurt
- 1/4 cup milk of choice
- 2 tbsp olive oil or melted butter, can also use melted coconut oil
- 1 tsp vanilla extract or powder
- 1/2 cup coconut sugar
- 1 cup all purpose flour, gluten-free or regular
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 tsp baking powder
- Tiny marshmallows
- 1/4 cup chocolate chips
- Melted chocolate
- Crushed candy cane, optional if you like the taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 6-cavity donut pan with nonstick spray or lightly oil it.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the egg, yogurt, milk, olive oil or butter, vanilla extract, and coconut sugar until smooth and well combined.
- Mix in the flour, salt, and baking powder.
- Fold in the chocolate chips and some mini marshmallows.
- Spoon the batter evenly into the donut pan, filling each cavity about 3/4 full. Smooth the tops with a spoon or spatula if needed.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the donuts are set and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let the donuts cool in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Once cooled, dip the donuts in the melted chocolate, top with tiny marshmallows, and sprinkle crushed candy cane on top for a festive touch.
- These donuts are perfect served warm or at room temperature. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
