this incredibly easy and flavorful lunch or dinner idea will be your next go to. Its so much easier than rolling sushi

Ingredients

  • About 4 oz sushi grade tuna diced. Should be about 1/2 cup when diced
  • 1 tsp sesame seed oil
  • 1 tsp coconut aminos or reg soy sauce
  • Little bit chopped green onion or chives. Can use dill as well.
  • Cubed cucumber, I had about 12 small pieces
  • Half of an avocado mashed
  • 1/4 sushi rice mixed with black sesame seeds. I used the microwavable sushi rice packets (do whatever is easier for you)
  • Sprinkle of black sesame seeds
  • Fried onions or tempura flakes, even panic bread crumbs. Just need a crunchy component
  • Spicy mayo - 1 tb mayo, 1 tsp sriracha, 1/4 tsp sesame oil

Instructions

  1. To a bowl, add diced tuna along with sesame oil, coconut aminos, and greens such as chives, green onion, or dill. Give it a good mix.
  2. Grab a 1 cup size measuring cup and add the tuna to the bottom of it.
  3. Then, add some diced cucumber and then layer on the mashed avocado and spread evenly.
  4. After that, add the sushi rice mixed with black sesame seeds if you have some and press down gently to flatten everything out.
  5. Carefully flip the measuring cup and slowly wiggle it upwards until the tuna stack is released. Sprinkle on some black sesame seeds.
  6. Add some crunchy onions or tempura flakes and drizzle on spicy mayo. For the mayo just mix together the three ingredients listed above.
  7. Enjoy!!!
