Crispy, golden Macadamia Crusted Salmon Bites are the perfect blend of nutty, savory, and slightly sweet flavors! Easy to make in the oven or air fryer, they’re a crowd-pleasing appetizer or a healthy main dish.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb salmon, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1/2 cup macadamia nuts, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup panko breadcrumbs (or gluten-free breadcrumbs)
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp lemon zest
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • Salt, to taste
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 egg, beaten

Instructions

  1. For the oven: Preheat to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  2. For the air fryer: Preheat to 375°F (190°C) for 3-5 minutes. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with oil.
  3. In a shallow bowl, combine the chopped macadamia nuts, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, lemon zest, parsley, and salt.
  4. Place the beaten egg in one bowl and the macadamia coating mixture in another.
  5. Dip each salmon piece into the beaten egg, then press it into the macadamia mixture to coat evenly.

  7. For the air fryer: Place them in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring they don’t overlap.
