Homemade Honey Apple Cider Lemonade
Yield: 32 oz
This lemonade has been a weekly staple for years. It is so easy and absolutely delicious. Store this in the fridge for an easy kid-friendly drink to cool off in the summer.
Ingredients
- 4-5 lemons, juiced
- 1 juiced lemon with the peel, cut into cubes, about 1/2 cup
- 3-4 tbsp honey of choice
- 1/2 - 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar, more of less depending on how much taste you don't mind
- 2 cups filtered water
Instructions
- Start by cutting lemons in half and juicing them well. Save one juiced lemon (make sure to wash it well) and cut that into cubes to add to the blender (yes, you can add lemon peels into lemonade)
- To a blender, add the lemon juice, lemon peels, honey, apple cider vinegar, and water. Blend until all is incorporated.
- You can start with a little apple cider first. Taste after blending and add more if needed. My kids love that subtle taste of it but you can add as much, little, or leave it out.
- Transfer lemonade into an air tight 32oz glass jar and store in the fridge up to one week. See notes for further storage information.
Notes
- Use clean containers: Store the homemade lemonade in clean, airtight containers to prevent contamination and extend its freshness.
- Keep it cold: Refrigerate the lemonade promptly after making it and keep it consistently chilled. Avoid leaving it out at room temperature for extended periods, especially in warmer environments.
- Stir before serving: Over time, ingredients may settle at the bottom of the container. Give the lemonade a good stir before serving to ensure that the flavors are evenly distributed.
- Check for signs of spoilage: If you notice any changes in color, texture, or odor, or if you see any mold growth, discard the lemonade immediately.
By following these guidelines, you can enjoy your homemade honey lemonade for up to a week while maintaining its quality and flavor.
