Ingredients

  • 2 salmon fillets
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 naan breads or flatbread of choice
  • Balsamic glaze drizzle
Romaine Apple Slaw
  • 2 cups Revol Greens Romaine lettuce, thinly sliced
  • 1 apple, julienned
  • 1/4 cup red cabbage, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 tsp honey or maple syrup
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix together all the spices.
  2. Rub the salmon fillets with olive oil and coat them evenly with the spice mixture.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and cook the salmon for 3-4 minutes on each side until blackened and cooked through. Set aside.
  4. You can also cook the salmon at 400F for 5-6 minutes in the air fryer (cooking time varies with different air fryers
Prepare the Romaine Apple Slaw
  1. In a large bowl, combine thinly sliced Romaine lettuce, julienned apple, and thinly sliced red cabbage.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, apple cider vinegar, honey or maple syrup, salt, and pepper.
  3. Pour the dressing over the slaw and toss to combine. Set aside.
Assemble the Flatbreads
  1. Brush the flatbreads or naan with olive oil and toast them in a skillet or over the stove until warm and slightly crispy.
  2. Flake the blackened salmon into bite-sized pieces.
  3. Top each flatbread with a generous amount of Romaine apple slaw and flaked blackened salmon.
  4. Drizzle with balsamic glaze.
  5. Serve immediately.
