One Pan Scalloped Potatoes

These one pan scalloped potatoes cannot get easier to make with this method. They are incredible creamy, cheesy, and delicious. Have them as a side with some protein for a tasty dinner.
Ingredients
- 4 potatoes, peeled and sliced very thin using a mandoline or a sharp knife.
- Half of a small onion, sliced
- 3 tbsp flour
- 3 tbsp cold butter, diced
- Salt pepper to taste
- 1.5 cup milk
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella
- Fresh dill, chopped for a garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425F and spray a small baking dish with cooking oil.
- Start by peeling and washing potatoes.
- Using a mandoline or a sharp knife, slice each potato making thinly sliced round circles.
- To the prepared dish, add 1/3 of the potatoes in an even layer.
- Add some sliced onions, salt, pepper, sprinkle on 1 tbsp of flour and 1 tbsp diced butter.
- Repeat this process two more times just do not add onions or flour on the top layer.
- Pour milk until potatoes are about 2/3 ways covered.
- Bake until milk starts to bubble, about 15 minutes, then turn down the oven temp to 375F and bake an additional 30 minutes until golden and creamy.
- Remove from oven, sprinkle on cheese and get it under the broiler on high for about 3 minutes until cheese is bubbly.
- Garnish with fresh dill and enjoy!
