Sticky Spicy Skillet Chicken Thighs

This skillet chicken thigh recipe has a fabulous sticky sauce with a hit of spice. It is easy and so flavorful.
Ingredients
- 4-5 skinless chicken thighs
- Salt, pepper
- 1/4 cup chicken broth
- Sesame seeds for garnish
- sliced green onion for garnish
Sticky Spicy Garlic Sauce
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2-3 tbsp sweet chili sauce
- 1 tbsp coconut sugar
- 2 tbsp gochujang paste
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 2 cloves garlic, finely minced
- 1/4 tsp ground ginger
Instructions
- Start by heating a dry large pan on medium heat. No oil is needed here.
- While the pan is heating, season chicken thighs generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
- Once pan is hot, get the chicken into the pan chicken thing top down. Cook for about 8 minutes, flip and cook an additional 4-5 minutes. Use a meat thermometer to make sure chicken is at least 165F.
- While the chicken is cooking, make the sticky spicy garlic sauce by combing all of the sauce ingredients together. Set aside.
- Add 1/4 chicken broth to the pan. It will start the bubble. Instantly scrape the pan sticky pan bits and flip the chicken around a few times.
- Once the broth has reduced, pour in the spicy garlic sauce. Coat the chicken well. Cook about 1-2 minutes for the sauce to thicken and turn off the heat. Garnish with sesame cheese and fresh green onion and serve. Enjoy with your favorite sides!
